Work History.

1984. Foster and Associates.

Worked on the competition winning scheme for the Mediateque in Nimes, France.

BBC Brodcasting House. Langham Place, London.

1985. James Stirling Michael Wilford Associates.

Worked on Transport Interchange in Bilbao. No 1. The Poultry, London.

1989. Won national RIBA competition for Chichester Car Park and formed

Birds Portchmouth Russum Architects.

Worked on wide ranging projects from Materplanning to Infrastructure, Bridges , housing offices and product design.

Several invited competition entries for, Stonehenge Visitors Centre, Crossrail Rickmansworth, British Museum Courtyard, Imperial War Museum of the North,

2002. Formed Andrew Birds Core Design while continuing as a consultant partner at Birds Portchmouth Russum Architects.

2010-12. Designed and built award winning Downley House.

Currently working on projects in collaboration with Birds Portchmouth Russum Architects, and projects as Andrew Birds Core Design.

1985. 1st Prize for Architectural Drawing at the RA Summer Show.

1989. 1st Prize for Architectural competition for Car Park in Chichester.

1991. RIBA Award for Chichester Car Park.

1991. West Sussex County Council Award for Chichester Car Park

1991. Civic Trust Award for Chichester Car Park

1991. Downland Design Award for Chichester Car Park

1994. Invited to Young British Architects Symposium in Tokyo, Japan.

1995. Invited to International Contemporary Architect Triennale, Nara, Japan.

2001. RIBA Award for Plashet School Footbridge.
